A great companion to Spybot
S&D! This program will remove Ad-Ware from
your computer, as well as some other malicious
programs. While there is some overlap between
the programs, they do work well together in
keeping your machine free of what I call
"parasites" --- software that uses up resources
on your machine for the benefit of someone else.
They capture keystrokes, log online behavior,
hijack your browser, and some will disable your
internet connection if you uninstall them (like
Newdot.net).
If you or I wrote those
programs we could be arrested for planting
computer viruses, but the government allows
online businesses to do just that . . . without
